Hi, Lisa. Skunks can be wonderful pets when the proper ammount of research is done by potential owners.

As far as your questions: A skunk cannot be caged, so they must be able to have free roam of your home. Yes, skunks are easily litter trained, though can be stubborn as far as box placement. Also, one box is not enough for a skunk, as it is with cats. Skunks do tend to get rather lazy in the winter months, but don't "hibernate" in the classic sense. They tend to sleep more and eat less.
A skunks life span can vary greatly, depending on many things. The main sourse of concern for skunks is their diet. Skunks need a diet as natural as possible, in order to protect their delicate systems. We feed a diet based on "Skunkie Delight". You make it yourself, based on raw turkey, oil, grain and vitamins. In addition to vegetables and other "whole foods", skunks are thriving. We now see healthier coats, fewer health problems and longer life spans.

As I said before, skunks are wonderful pets for the right people. If you have any other questions, or would like me to email you some printed info, please let me know.

:Where do you keep a skunk? Can you house train a skunk as in litter box? Do they hibernate in the winter? what is the life span of a skunk? What are some bad habits they can form?

:Thanks for your help. I am not saying I will get the skunk especially before I do the research.
