Well, see, that's what I thought! But as it turns out, each city is allowed to make its own regulation regarding the owning of certain animals here in Texas. I checked with my local City Hall, and it turns out that domestic skunks ARE legal, provided there exits proof that the animal was purchased from a breeder and not taken from the wild. Also there is a yearly $50 permit that is required, but yes, they are legal. Lots of people here in Kingsville have various "exotic" animals (elk, buffalo, alligators, raccoons, etc.), so I doubt a skunk would be THAT out of place here. Do you think you can help find some info on how to get one?
