My, what a wonderful story! Yes, it is still possible for him to come home. He may not want to stay, but my bets are on that you will at least see glimpses of him.

Many people have rescued wild skunks and have kept them as wonderful pets, descented and non. Please let me know if he returns to you, and best of luck with your new baby.
