Having Trouble

I have just gotten my second female glider, this past Saturday 1(11/9). She is approx. 6 weeks OOP, but is VERY tiny. The man I got her from (who sold me my first - who is WONDERFUL) said that she is the first baby from this mother and that is why she is small. Here is the problem - she is SO timid. She will sniff at my fingers, that's about it. She is eating and drinking well. She crabs if you try to hold her. I managed to put her in a pouch today and she crabbed almost constantly. I tried to give her treats - she nipped at me. Am I rushing things? Any hints? My first one, which we purchased 6 weeks OOP, was SO easy. I don't want to give up on this cutie.
