absolutely not!
i have 3 gliders... had another for a little while.
the 2 most bonded w/ me were over a year each when i got them.... they were both bonded to me with in a few weeks.
the girl i got when she was about 9 weeks oop.... well... it's an ongoing struggle.
every glider is different... but as long as you know it's not going to be an overnight process, you will do fine.
just make sure you know you'll have the time for the glider everyday for up to the next 12 years....
they really trust you... and depend on you .... there is nothing worse than letting them down.
