gecko_gal,
I've seen some of your other posts on other forums... It's nice to see that you have an interest for all kinds of pets, rather than being completely closed to other animals... However, I really have to question your interest when it comes to this...
I am originally from Spain... I lived there for over 18 years, and I still go back at least twice a year...
Spanish bulls are not, by any means, domesticated animals... They are wonderful, incredible animals, but they are definitely wild... I have many family members in Spain who are in the farming business, and I have never heard of anyone trying to keep one, as you say, "the way you would keep a horse"...
These animals grow well over 400kg, which is 880lbs of pure muscle... This can be an extremely agressive animal in most circumstances... As you may have already seen in movies, videos and what-not, in bullfights, they do sometimes kill the "matador"... And it is not like in the rodeos, where they put something on them to make them agressive, they are that way in nature...
If you have any other questions, please E-Mail me, and I will tell you as much about it as you want (or as much as I know)...
Thanks,
~ El__Quijote
